Privacy Policy

Order Change is operated by Protect Plus, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, which also operates Get Plus. Our company-wide privacy policy applies to Order Change and is available at get.plus/privacy-policy. This page adds detail specific to Order Change: what we collect on this website, and what the Order Change Shopify app processes on a merchant's behalf.
This website
When you join the early-access waitlist we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your store URL. We also record standard request metadata (timestamp, user agent, referring page) and campaign parameters (UTM tags) so we know how you found us.
Like most websites, we use analytics to understand aggregate traffic and ad performance. Analytics providers may set cookies or use similar technologies.
We use your email solely to contact you about Order Change — early access, launch, and product updates. We do not sell your data. You can ask us to delete your waitlist entry or stop emailing you at any time; every email we send includes a way to opt out.
The Order Change Shopify app
Order Change lets a merchant's customers change their own order after checkout — correcting a shipping address, updating contact details, or cancelling for a refund — within a time window the merchant configures.
When a merchant installs Order Change, Protect Plus, LLC acts as a service provider (processor) to that merchant, who remains the controller of their customers' personal data. We process that data only to provide the app's functionality, on the merchant's instructions.
What we process
Through the Shopify APIs, and only for orders placed with a merchant who has installed the app:
- Order details — order number and identifier, order status, line items, and the order's edit history (what was changed, and from what to what)
- Customer contact details — name, email address and phone number associated with the order
- Shipping address — the delivery address on the order, including any corrected version the customer submits
We do not process payment card details. Refunds are executed by Shopify; we never see or store card data.
Why we process it
- To provide the app's core function — showing customers their own order and applying the changes they request
- To validate addresses, so a corrected address is deliverable
- To manage fulfillment, including optionally holding fulfillment during the edit window so an order isn't shipped before a change is applied
- To report aggregate activity to the merchant — counts of edits, address corrections and cancellations. These reports are aggregate counts and do not identify individual customers
We do not use this data for marketing or advertising, we do not sell it or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use it for profiling or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Access controls
A customer can only view and change their own order. Ownership is verified before any change is applied, and changes are only possible within the merchant's configured edit window.
Service providers
To operate the app we use Shopify (the source of the order data and the platform the app runs on), Google Cloud Platform and MongoDB Atlas (application hosting and data storage), and Supabase and Fly.io (application hosting and session storage). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Retention and deletion
We retain order-edit records for as long as the merchant has the app installed and for a limited period afterwards, so merchants can reconcile changes made to their orders. When a merchant uninstalls the app, we delete the credentials associated with that store. We act on erasure and data-access requests received from Shopify on a merchant's behalf within the period Shopify requires.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or requests relating to data processed through Order Change: legal@get.plus. If you are a customer of a merchant using Order Change, please contact that merchant first — they control your data, and we will assist them in responding.
